There are no formal prerequisites for this course; however we recommend you already hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction (in the context of Exercise to Music or Gym Instructor). If you already possess the Level 2 Nutrition for a Healthy Lifestyle, enrolment will also be considered. Above all else you must have a keen interest in nutrition and a strong desire to improve the dietary practices of clients.
This qualification is worth 20 points with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). While you cannot directly join the register, or achieve REPs Level 3 status with this qualification, it is a fantastic opportunity for CPD. The course is also worth 6 credits within the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF).
