Kinesiology tape was developed in the late 1970s by Japanese practitioner Dr Kenzo Kase, who sought ways to boost the body’s natural healing process. The use of kinesiology taping (KT) has risen greatly in popularity over the last few years with fitness professionals, athletes and the general exercising public using the tape to aide pain relief, reduce inflammation and improve muscle function.

Rocktape’s in-depth Fascial Movement Taping course is specifically designed to teach fitness professionals how to effectively use KT as a corrective tool and as a way to reduce common injury symptoms.

Course Content

This highly interactive Fascial Movement Taping course is aimed at fitness professionals who want to use Rocktape to reduce their client’s pain, improve function and performance. Delivered in conjunction with Rocktape UK, the course covers a wide-range of theory and practical elements, including:

  •         Pain relief – including the ‘gate theory’ of pain
  •         Fascia and fascial structures
  •         Neurosensory stimulation
  •         Inflammation and circulation concepts
  •         Different types of fascial movement tapes
  •         Precautions and preparation for fascial movement taping
  •         Symptom reduction taping (SRT) techniques
  •         Oedema control taping (OCT) techniques
  •         Dynamic posture taping (DPT) techniques
  •         Power taping techniques

During the course, all students will receive a comprehensive training manual summarising all of the practical training delivered and how to effectively use Rocktape when providing fascial movement taping services to clients.


Assessment Method

There are no formal assessments, however your tutor will be able to provide informal feedback throughout the day.


The course is suitable for a range of fitness professionals including Pilates instructors, yoga teachers and personal trainers.

There are no formal prerequisites, but it is advisable that you have a basic knowledge of anatomy.
