Kinesiology tape, sometimes referred to as kinesio tape or body tape, was developed by Japanese practitioner Dr Kenzo Kase in the late 1970s. Dr Kase sought to boost the body’s natural healing process and this led him to develop tape that has a similar profile and elasticity to human skin.
In recent years, the use of kinesio tape has exploded in popularity. Everyone from athletes, professional sportspeople across a range of disciplines, and even the general exercising public use kinesiology tape to aide pain relief, reduce inflammation and improve muscle function. In fact, the tape can be applied to virtually any problem with the musculoskeletal system.
We’ve partnered with Rocktape, the UK’s leading supplier of kinesiology tape and mobility products, to deliver an informative and engaging three hour Fascial Movement Taping course.
