The Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification is the 'entry level' course for anyone wanting to become an exercise to music instructor/group exercise instructor. This qualification is also extremely popular with those wanting to teach, or who are already teaching, pre-choreographed programmes like Zumba, Bokwa and the Les Mills programmes (Body Pump, Body Balance, Body Attack etc).
Group exercise instructors are the backbone of studio-based exercise classes and as such provide instruction across a variety of styles and programmes. the bulk of this course will focus on the use of freestyle choreography to deliver safe and effective group exercise to music classes.
Because this is a nationally recognised qualification and not just a workshop, you can rest assured that when you do start teaching your own classes, you will have the knowledge, skills, confidence and qualification to deliver safe and effective classes.
The course is delivered using blended learning, which simply means that you will complete around 4-6 weeks distance-learning under the tutelage and guidance of one of our dedicated Learner Support Tutors before attending a practical workshop.
The practical element requires attendance for 4 days that are split over 2-weekends. Essentially the distance-learning period covers all of the required knowledge and understanding, while the practical element of the qualification focuses on the application of this knowledge to give you the skills and confidence to plan and teach energetic and motivating group exercise to music classes.
All of the materials you need to complete this course, including your music are provided, so you don’t need to purchase anything else. For more information on this or any of our courses, please feel to contact one of our careers advisors.
