Make a splash and become an in-demand group exercise instructor with this exciting Level 2 qualification.
Aquatic fitness is very different from exercising on land and having the skills to teach classes in a pool can make you an in-demand instructor. Group exercise continues to grow in popularity and taking this activity away from the gym floor provides an exciting change of pace for those you teach. Our Level 2 Aqua Instructor course teaches you everything you need to know about planning and teaching effective exercise in water. You’ll also discover how water affects the body, and various techniques for teaching cardiovascular and muscular strength exercises.
The course is certified by YMCA Awards (formerly CYQ) and we deliver it with a mix of distance learning and practical sessions. This ensures you’ll have plenty of time to master the technical aspects of the course before you undertake your final assessment and teach a planned exercise session.
This qualification is very flexible in its use and provides the opportunity for fitness instructors, exercise to music teachers, and personal trainers to expand on their repertoire. It can also be used as evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
