From 1st June 2015, the Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) will be changing their name to the YMCA Awards. While the branding will be different, the nature of the award/qualification will remain the same.

If you’re a new learner or have gained a qualification through HFE in the past, there are few important points you should be made aware of:

Certificates

YMCA give their assurances that learners will not be adversely affected by this change. Anyone with an existing CYQ certificate can apply for a replacement with the new YMCA Awards branding. This is by no means a necessity however and is entirely at your discretion. Any CYQ certificates are still valid as are the skills and knowledge gained on their corresponding courses – they will continue to be recognised by employers.

Any new certificates after the launch date of 1st June will be branded accordingly as the YMCA Awards.

HFE Courses

As a training provider, we’d like to reassure learners that this rebranding will in no way affect the high-quality teaching we have become renowned for. In fact, we’re constantly looking for opportunities to improve and add value to our services.

You may have already seen samples of our new training manuals, produced exclusively in-house, and we’ll soon be upgrading the content of our courses.

If you’d like more information about the new YMCA Awards, don’t hesitate to contact us on 0800 612 4067, Twitter or Facebook.
