Massage comes from the Arabic root ‘massa’, which means to squeeze, knead or touch. Massage therapy itself dates back to Ancient Chinese and Egyptian civilisations and throughout history, various cultures and civilisations have developed their own theories and concepts about massage.
Today, sports massage is used to prevent common exercise-related injuries as well as aid rehabilitation and techniques like petrissage, tapotement and effleurage are fundamental to this. Our Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage enables an instructor to develop their own clinic and practice or work for established organisations.
Below is a sample of the bespoke Level 3 manual to give you just a taste of what the full course will be like.
