Many of our central London fitness instructor and personal trainer courses are delivered from the David Lloyd Health Club in Kensington. The David Lloyd Leisure group is Europe’s largest racquets, health and fitness operator and is renowned for its premier facilities and service. While there are no racquet facilities at the Kensington Club, the gym and studio facilities are both extensive and impressive. The club combines a vast range of traditional fitness equipment with a variety of more contemporary functional training resources like kettlebells, Vipr and TRX.
The club is ideally situated on Cromwell Road in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and can be easily accessed by car, tube or bus. Gloucester Road tube station is less than 5 a minute walk, while Kensington High Street tube station is only about a 10 minutes’ walk; both of these stations are in Zone 1.
Surrounding this venue there are a variety of coffee shops, restaurants and cafes. Additionally, there is a Holiday Inn and Marriott Hotel adjacent and opposite the club. In the West Point Complex in which the David Lloyd club sits, there is also a Sainsbury’s supermarket which also provides a short-term parking facility.
On site there is a small family run cafe that specialises in natural and organic foods. The cafe offers a variety of refreshments including teas, coffees, soft drinks, sandwiches, salads and much more.
As with all of our training venues, at the end of the day or during lunch periods, HFE students are free to use the facilities for their own training and leisure.read moreread less
