The Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage is an essential qualification for those wanting to treat injuries, aid rehabilitation and improve form and function. The role of a sports massage therapist is as much about preventing common injuries as it is treating them. Because of this, sports massage therapists have to be incredibly flexible and adaptive in their approach – every client will be different and therefore will need to be treated with equal care.

Becoming a qualified sports massage therapist will enable you to become self-employed and develop your own clinic or practice, or work within an existing establishment. This course also enables current fitness professionals such as personal trainers, yoga teachers and Pilates instructors to add an additional element to their offering. In doing so, this makes a professional more marketable and potentially opens up a whole new client base.

Sports massage isn’t solely reserved for elite athletes and sportspeople either, techniques can be adapted for everyone from occasional gym goers to those starting an exercise programme for the very first time.

The Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage qualification is certified by YMCA Awards and delivered via our blended learning model. This involves a period of home study using bespoke, award-winning learning materials followed by three practical training weekends with workshops and assessments. At any and every stage of the course, you will be able to access unlimited support and guidance from our innovative e-learning platform and your dedicated Learner Support Tutor.

    ETM Level 2

The online assessments were useful although it would be made life easier if, when getting an answer wrong, it gave you the correct page of your manual to refer to! Towards the last few weeks of studying I contacted my course tutor, Dani, several times with queries, mainly to ensure I was understanding everything properly!
