Our Level 2 Step Exercise to Music course is an essential addition to any exercise professionals’ repertoire, particularly group exercise instructors. Similarly, if you’ve been informally teaching step classes for years and need to gain the appropriate qualifications to do so, this fully-accredited qualification is the ideal fit.

The qualification is certificated by YMCA Awards (formerly CYQ) and we deliver it via a blend of home study and practical workshop attendance. To ensure you succeed, we provide you with a range of learning materials, including training manuals, comprehensive e-learning materials, and extensive support from our experienced tutors.

On the course itself, you’ll learn a wide-range of choreography that are pitched at varying levels of difficulty, engaging methods of planning and teaching step classes, and important anatomy and physiology considerations.

Martyn, in particular, has a lot of health expertise and guided me through the programme well, my exam preparation and case study was facilitated by weekly support and coaching. I am very impressed by my first experience at distance learning - there was always someone on the end of the phone to answer my queries.
