The Register of Exercise Professionals (REP’s) has been set up to help safeguard the health, safety and welfare of members of the public who use fitness instructors, personal trainers and group exercise teachers.
REP’s creates a framework within which fitness instructors and personal trainers are encouraged to achieve and maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct themselves in accordance with the fitness industry code of ethical practice.
REPs also ensure that all exercise professionals who are members of the Register continue to improve their own knowledge and skills through continuous professional development (CPD) activities. In order to remain on the Register, exercise professionals must undertake a specific amount of development, which may include further training, qualifications, workshops and assessments.
