Learn More About This Course

In the words of founder Joseph Pilates: “We retire too early… Our prime of life should be in the 70s and old age should not come until we are almost 100.” For those who practice Pilates, this popular form of exercise can be used to reduce stress levels, improve balance and strengthen the core. When it comes to age-related conditions such as osteoporosis and arthritis, Pilates has been proven to be incredibly effective in alleviating the symptoms.

Our Level 3 Pilates for Older Adults course is designed to upskill current Pilates teachers, enabling them to safely and effectively work with this rapidly growing special population. It’s also incredibly useful for other fitness professionals wishing to expand their client base.

While on course, you’ll receive individually-tailored support from our expert team of tutors and assessors. This is also unlimited with no caveats, so you’ll be able to access as much help as you need.

This is the second time I have studied with HFE and I would do so again without hesitation. My support tutor Martyn was helpful, patient and supportive with clear concise knowledge and advice, I felt completely at ease and comfortable to be able to ask anything.

  • Rating: 4 out of 5

I like this way of working and having a tutor I can contact as and when I needed was great. The course is more set up to gym instructors, but Gregg was very helpful and the case study was adapted to suit Pilates.

  • Rating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed the course, it was hard work and challenging but online learning and tutor support are very good. The trainers at the weekend study days were great...

  • Rating: 5 out of 5

I signed up for this course as I loved Pilates and not really knowing what to expect. When the A&P books arrived I was totally out of my depth. I need not have worried, kept me on track, had regular revision sessions and was always at the end of the phone.
