While there are many schools of Pilates, each interpreting founder Joseph Pilates’ work slightly differently, numerous similarities and common themes are apparent. At its core, Pilates is a popular form of exercise often performed by those looking to improve posture, functional strength, stability and flexibility. It has also been used in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, particularly lower back pain.
HFE’s Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates is delivered via a blend of home-study and practical training assessment workshops. Complemented by outstanding learning materials and our dedicated support tutors, you’ll learn key anatomy and physiology concepts, core techniques, and how to develop the skills to plan, teach and evaluate Pilates exercise. For those who can’t commit to the practical training for whatever reason, there’s also the option to complete an online Pilates course.
Our course manuals are normally provided in print, however, we’ve prepared a small electronic sample for you to view. Inside the full-colour manual, you’ll discover an introduction to the principles and fundamentals of Mat Pilates; exercises replete with step by step diagrams; and sample exercise programmes.
