Hazel Anderson Success Story

What is your background with exercise and fitness training and why did you choose the course you did?

I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer, GP Exercise Referral Specialist, Les Mills Bodypump & Spin Instructor.
I have been working in the exercise and fitness industry for 4 years now (initially working in a London office for 10 years) and love every second of it! It’s truly incredible to see so many people getting such great benefits from physical activity. I’m very lucky to be able to say I love my job!

Why did you choose the course you did?

I wanted something to supplement the high energy classes I was teaching and also to help me assist my GP Referral clients more with Pilates as well as my over 50’s group.

Why did you choose HFe to deliver your training?

The cost of the course was very competitive and it wasn’t too far to travel to the training location. I also had good feedback from a colleague who had previously completed her Pilates qualification through HFE.

What did you enjoy most about your course?

The tutors were brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The training weekends were extremely helpful.

What did you find most challenging about your course?

To me Pilates was very different to my usual high energy classes, so it took a little while to adjust.

The tutors were brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

How would you rate the quality of teaching provided by your course tutors?

Top quality!

To what extent did you feel supported during the home-study phase of your course?

I always had my tutor at the end of the phone or on e-mail if I needed anything, very helpful.

How would you rate the teaching and learning materials provided to you?

I was very happy with the teaching material, the manuals are great to carry around with me and easy to refer back to when I wanted.

What is your current role?

Personal Trainer, GP Referral Specialist, Les Mills Bodypump Instructor, Spin Instructor and now Pilates. I work with a broad spectrum of individuals with personal training, Active Classes for over 50’s, GP Referral Clients suffering from a range of conditions such as Osteoporosis, Diabetes etc and also disability clients at our centre (Maidstone YMCA). I absolutely love teaching my classes and am pleased to be able to add Pilates to my schedule now.

What are your future training and career plans?

To progress with my teaching, develop my Pilates classes and continue with my CPD. This industry is so exciting, you never know what is around the corner!
